Diamond Glow Blog
Perfectly Bare Laser now offering Diamond Glow treatments at our Tampa MedSpa.
DiamondGlow™ (Dermalinfusion) is a treatment that utilizes microdermabrasion which is a way of gently removing the stratum corneum, the dead outer protective layer of the skin. This layer of skin provides a bit of a barrier protection to the sun and anything that comes into contact with the skin, but over time as our skin cells turn over, we accumulate excessive dead skin resulting in a dull lackluster appearance of skin and decreased absorption and effectiveness of any skincare products. Exfoliating and buffing away the skin is the key to maintaining a healthy glowing complexion.
Hydrodermabrasion uses water-based medical-grade serums in conjunction with the diamond tip dermabrasion, at the moment the skin is exfoliated it is most permeable for products and will soak up product like a sponge. The serums will ease and loosen up extractions gently unplugging clogged pores painlessly. DiamondGlow™ allows us to simultaneously infuse products that can hydrate, lighten, tighten pores and reduce acne or fortify so that the procedure is really 3 in one; Exfoliate, Extract, and Infuse. Just 1 treatment will enhance clarity and luminosity, But even better you'll see continued improvement with each treatment!
DiamondGlow™ can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, mild wrinkles, scarring, hyperpigmentation, skin dullness, large pores and acne concerns with no downtime. Unlike other microdermabrasion treatments, the DiamondGlow™ System combines non-invasive exfoliation with deep delivery of patient-specific solutions directly to the skin – without the use of crystal or other chemical exfoliants. DiamondGlow™ is exclusively offered through facilities with medical directors on staff and isn’t available at a typical day spa or salon. The procedure is non-invasive and even soothing; delivering the results you want without harsh chemicals or uncomfortable treatments. DiamondGlow™ is a 30-minute treatment and clients can return to activities immediately.
What benefits can I expect from DiamondGlow™?
To jump-start your new skin we recommend 3-4 treatments 2 weeks apart and maintenance every 2-3 months. However, even one DiamondGlow™ will usually refresh your skin for up to six weeks!
What are the risks and side effects of DiamondGlow™?
Usually, there is no downtime with the DERMALINFUSION®, but some clients can experience tightening of the skin and mild exfoliation. Post-treatment the skin may be slightly pink but this should last for about one hour.
How will I look and feel during and after my DiamondGlow™?
Your skincare professional will choose one or more of our specialized Pro Infusions, formulated to address a variety of skin conditions. The DERMALINFUSION® infuses these products deep into the skin where they are most effective. The solution delivers hydrating, antioxidant, acne-fighting and pore-reducing, and/or lightening infusions into your skin. After cleansing and preparing your skin, your aesthetician will perform the procedure with a specialized handpiece.
The treatment uses a closed-loop vacuum system resembling that of a wand to exfoliate the skin. An aesthetician will recommend the appropriate topical to infuse the skin and stimulate new cell growth. Each pass gently abrades away dead skin, thoroughly and evenly exfoliating while infusing the treatment solution into the skin. Your skin immediately looks clearer and brighter and definitely feels smoother and your makeup will go on easily.
Clients can return back to work post-treatment or resume their everyday routine. Mineral makeup and SPF are recommended as it heals and soothes the skin without irritation post-procedure and covers up possible redness which should lighten after a few hours.
Most clients report a post-treatment “glow-like appearance” coupled with a feeling of rejuvenation.
Can DiamondGlow™ be combined with other treatments?
DiamondGlow™ may be combined with many other cosmetic treatments such as Photorejuvenation (IPL), Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Skin Tightening Lasers, BOTOX and Injectable fillers. Many clients choose to undergo combination treatments in order to achieve the maximum aesthetic result.
